Programme notes

Over the years I have built up a portfolio of programme notes which provide audiences with a readable and entertaining introduction to the music they have come to hear. 

Most of these are for choral works and many of them were written for the English Arts Chorale. I have also written about instrumental works. To see a small sample of these articles click on the links opposite.

If you would like a programme note for a work which is not listed here, do get in touch. The chances are I already have something on that work: if so, I can share it with you for a small fee; if not, I will write one for you ... perhaps for a slightly larger fee.
