Surge, Aquilo

Anthem for soprano and tenor solos, SATB chorus, violin, cello and piano. Words from the Latin text of the Song of Solomon. This was written for my wedding in 2001.

This excerpt is from a performance recorded live by the Russian Chamber Chorus of New York.

O how lovely

Anthem for SATB chorus and piano, with words taken from Psalm 84. The recording below was made at a service in St Mary's Church, Horsham, in July 2014. The service was organised for Her Majesty's judges by the High Sheriff of West Sussex. An excerpt from the anthem can be heard below, sung by the combined choirs of St Mary's Horsham and St Margaret's Warnham, accompanied by Hugh Crook and conducted by Jo Browse.

Holy, heavenly love

Anthem for SATB chorus and organ. A setting of the words from the well-known hymn ’Gracious Spirit, Holy Ghost’ by Christopher Wordsworth.

This recording was made by the St James Music Press for inclusion on their website, and is used with permission.

Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis

The Magnificat is a lively setting for upper voices only (3-part). The main part of the Nunc Dimittis is for lower voices only (T&B), with sopranos and altos joining in for the Gloria.
